Staatsbosbeheer secures the quality of the green environment for man, plant and animal. We stimulate a lasting relation between man and nature, for now and for future generations.

Vision

Man is part of nature and landscape. We prefer nature which fulfils multiple functions and realises several goals. We have a clear vision towards sustainable nature management, based on the optimum situation on site which gives space for all there is. We strive for the sustainable development of the Dutch nature and cultural landscape and the Ecological Main Structure (EMS). Our policy on recreation will be tuned with the demands from the society. Sustainable management methods contribute to the production of renewable raw materials such as biomass and timber.
