Staatsbosbeheer is commissioned by the Dutch government and manages a sizeable amount of the nature reserves in the Netherlands.
Central to our mission is working towards a sustainable living environment for man, plant and animal. We maintain, restore and develop our natural and cultural landscapes, sharing the enthusiasm and care for our national heritage by opening our sites to the public as much as possible, and by promoting outdoor recreation.
As a public organization, Staatsbosbeheer works for and on behalf of society. We cooperate actively with Dutch citizens and the organizations and institutions which represent them. We contribute to the production of environmentally friendly, renewable resources such as timber.
